layers of self
Creative Exploration
Our inner world can be a deep well of comfort, creativity, and clarity—or an unfamiliar terrain filled with untapped potential. Learning how to access it is a skill that can be nurtured through many paths: therapy, self-reflection, and one of my personal favorites: authentic creative expression.
The prompts below invite you into a practice of structured messiness, a way of processing emotion not for perfection or outcome but for the act of excavation itself.
Let this be a soft landing. A beginning without pressure. A way back to yourself. In whatever way you see fit.
Instructions
Set a timer for 5 to 10 minutes. Ensure the timing fits your schedule. Reflect on the daily prompt using whatever media or form of expression you prefer. This can be a quick sketch, movement, poetry, words, craft, or any creative expression you enjoy. If it feels right, challenge yourself to share your reflection publicly. While this can feel vulnerable, it encourages us to share ourselves with the world outside of the prompts authentically.
